Steel & Iron Sheets

Flat-rolled steel and iron sheets are the starting point for roofing, cladding, ducts, cabinets, and fabrication. Selection depends on corrosion resistance, strength, and finish.
- Mild Steel (CR/HR): Cold-rolled (smooth surface, tighter tolerances) and hot-rolled (economical structural/fabrication use).
- Galvanized (GI): Zinc-coated for corrosion resistance; common coatings include Z120–Z275.
- Galvalume (GL): Aluminum–zinc alloy coating for improved durability in coastal and industrial environments.
- Stainless Steel (SS 304/316): High corrosion resistance for kitchens, medical, and marine applications.
- Profiles & Forms: Plain sheet, chequered/diamond plate, corrugated/roofing profiles.
- Common Thickness (approx.): 0.40–1.2 mm (roofing/cladding), 1.5–3 mm (ducting, light fab), 4–12 mm (heavy fab).
- Finishes: Mill, matte, bright, color-coated (PPGI/PPGL).
- Applications: Roofing, wall panels, HVAC ducts, enclosures, signage, general fabrication.
