Steel & Iron Sheets

Steel and iron sheet stacks

Flat-rolled steel and iron sheets are the starting point for roofing, cladding, ducts, cabinets, and fabrication. Selection depends on corrosion resistance, strength, and finish.

  • Mild Steel (CR/HR): Cold-rolled (smooth surface, tighter tolerances) and hot-rolled (economical structural/fabrication use).
  • Galvanized (GI): Zinc-coated for corrosion resistance; common coatings include Z120–Z275.
  • Galvalume (GL): Aluminum–zinc alloy coating for improved durability in coastal and industrial environments.
  • Stainless Steel (SS 304/316): High corrosion resistance for kitchens, medical, and marine applications.
  • Profiles & Forms: Plain sheet, chequered/diamond plate, corrugated/roofing profiles.
  • Common Thickness (approx.): 0.40–1.2 mm (roofing/cladding), 1.5–3 mm (ducting, light fab), 4–12 mm (heavy fab).
  • Finishes: Mill, matte, bright, color-coated (PPGI/PPGL).
  • Applications: Roofing, wall panels, HVAC ducts, enclosures, signage, general fabrication.
